  1. I wouldn’t look at the Sorento’s fuel mileage. That might be the reason the sales are down.

  2. 61 Cadenzas in 10 days? That’s pretty damn good considering they aren’t even marketing it yet, AND there are ZERO incentives on it. There are no incentives on the new Forte yet. I saw my first two 2014 Sorentos today. One in a mall parking lot, the other on the US 131 freeway south of Cadillac, MI. The Optima did very well last month. At least they didn’t decline in sales year-on-year. What Kia needs is to better standardize and police their dealerships….mainly dealer service departments.

  3. Lower Sorento sales might be the reason why Optima achieved one of the best sales results ever.

It could be that Kia noticed increased demand for their sedan and adjusted production to build more Optimas than Sorentos.

  4. And even with the supply crunch of Korean-sourced models due to the work stoppages and shorter work days, Hyundai and Kia for the year are selling better than Toyota, Nissan and Honda combined in Germany.

  5. Kia Motors Europe is doing very well. Anybody else see what they are calling the 2014 Sedona? EIGHT MODEL YEARS and the only changes are the audio head unit, wheels, taillights, and bumper/grille. The headlight units on the 2014 would directly bolt to my 06. Actually, I just this week put a 2012 grille (tiger nose) on my 06, and it fit perfectly. I mean, it’s a great, well thought out, and over-engineered vehicle (6 lug wheels!) – my one 06 has 208,000 miles on it, and on my second 06 I have 241k miles on the ORIGINAL powertrain, with original exhaust components, original wheel bearings, original suspension…..other than the little quirks the first couple model years had, it’s a solid vehicle…..but enough is ENOUGH! Let’s get on with a model more in line with the current offerings!

  6. North America is not their only market – 653,361 Kia vehicles sold globally through March for 2.7% cumulative year-on-year gain
    – March sales in China and Europe posted year-on-year sales growth of 19.6% and 6.6%, respectively.
