Kia Motors America Reports Best Ever October Sales
Kia of USA today announced its best October ever, with sales of 50,044 vehicles, up 12% percent compared with the same month a year ago.
The company also revealed year-to-date sales of 526,024 vehicles, a 7.5% gain over the same period in 2014.
Strong demand for crossovers, such as the Soul and Sorento, continued during October 2015,but October sales were lead by the Optima mid-size sedan.
The newly launched 2016 Kia Optima has recorded the sales of 14,381 units last month, while Soul crossover, taking second spot among Kia’s top sellers, posted sales of 12,246 units.
The Soul and Optima remain in a fierce battle for the top spot in the Kia USA range (in terms of sales) with the Optima midsize sedan being in a slight lead.
The 2016 Sorento SUV continued its sales momentum into the fall, increasing sales by 12% from the same month a year ago (8,593 units sold).
Following the top 3 sellers in the Kia range were the Forte compact car and Sportage CUV with sales of 5,198 and 4,476 units, respectively.
The Sedona MPV rounded out the top six at 2,332, with a total of 32,196 sales during the first 10 months of 2015.
Also worth mentioning is the sales performance of the Cadenza premium sedan which recorded the sales of 1,018 units.
It’s been a while since this near luxury Kia sedan crossed the 1,000 sales mark in one month alone!
Speaking of luxury cars, Kia delivered 229 units of the K900 flagship sedan in the USA last month.
