Kia USA Announces Record April Sales As Soul Crossover Posts Impressive Figures

The iconic Soul crossover vehicle and Optima mid-size sedan led Kia’s April 2014 sales to new heights!

With the automaker celebrating its 20th anniversary of entering the U.S. market, the company’s first-quarter sales momentum continued to roll with new record sales of 53,676 units in April.

Compared to the same month a year ago, Kia’s sales have increased as much as 12.9%, thanks in large part to the hot-selling Soul CUV, which has set an all-time single-month sales record last month (14,403 units sold).

But that wasn’t enough, though, to replace the Optima mid-size sedan as the top-seller for the Kia brand in the USA.

The Optima recorded the sales of 14,589 units sold, roughly 100 units more than the Soul, however, the battle for the No.1 sport remained close!

Rounding out the top 3 Kia best-sellers in April was the Sorento crossover vehicle with sales of 8,536 units.

Other Kia vehicles performed well too, especially the Forte car family, which has recorded the sales of 7,624 units last month.
