The big winner in June was the Sonata sedan, with a 30% year on year increase to 25,195 units.
It was likely boosted by the fact that the seventh generation of the vehicle was released in the US just last month.
Both the Sport and long wheelbase models of the Santa Fe SUV performed well, jumping 16.6% to 8.930 units sold.
Hyundai were also pleased with the performance of the Genesis premium sedan, which managed 3,109 units sold for an increase of 5.8% over the previous year.

Bob Pradzinski, vice president of national sales for HMA, said that he expects things to continue to go well as the summer season goes into full swing. He is especially excited about the all-new 2015 Genesis and Sonata.
Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and market for Kia, agreed that the numbers should continue to be strong, adding that the latest figures were yet another sign of just how far the brand has come in the last 20 years.
The summer months will see Kia release the all-new Sedona minivan, with the all-new Sorento expected to be out later this year.
in Canada the Hyundai-Kia group outsold GM in June – the GM recalls are starting to effect sales.
