China: Kia K3 Sales Surpass 100,000 Mark
China has been one of the best-performing markets for Kia Motors.
Vehicles made by Dongfeng-Yueda Kia have been selling really well, with the top performing models being the K2 sub-compact car and K3 sedan.
Known also as 2014 Forte in the USA, the K3 compact sedan has seen some impresive sales numbers lately.
Kia announced yesterday that cumulative sales of their K3 seda had surpasses 100,000 units in China.
That magic number was hit in just 8 months and 3 weeks, a record-setting pace for all of the Kia vehicles currently sold in biggest auto market in the world.
Each month since November of last year, one month after its release, has seen sales of the K3 sit on or around the 10,000 unit mark.
Kia feels that the success of the K3 in China has a lot to do with the sleek design of the car, as well as how much it appeals to the younger set.
Much of the credit goes also to the marketability of the car, as well as an improved marketing strategy.
