Kia Canada August 2013 Sales Figures – Optima, Rondo Shine

Kia Canada continued to see each of its newly launched 2014 models perform well during the month of August 2013.

The vehicles in question, all of which contributed to strong sales numbers were: the all-new Forte compact sedan, the redesigned Sorento SUV, European-inspired Rondo minivan and the Cadenza luxury sedan.

Furthermore, core models including the Kia Soul UUV, Kia Optima mid-size sedan and Kia Sportage Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV).

Rio, Optima, Sorento Sales Surpass 1,000 Units

Three Kia models led the way in August, with each contributing over 1,000 units.

The Rio subcompactvehicle, which has already notched Motoring TV’s 2013 Best Small Car award, as well as being a Red Dot design winner, moved 1,392 units during the month.

The US-manufactured Sorento SUV rode its redesign to 1,189 units.

The Optima also crossed the 1,000 mark by moving 1,098 units during the month of August for a 16.6% increase over last year’s numbers.

Kia Rondo Achieves Nearly 1,000 Sales In August

Just missing the magical number was Red Dot design award winning Rondo, selling 940 units and posting an astonishing 65.5% increase over 2012.

Overal Kia Sales In Canada

Combined, Kia managed to find 7,502 new owners in Canada last month. The number represents a 2.3 per cent decrease in sales compared to August 2012.
