good to see that people are still considering rio even though its design is getting out-dated. must be coz of the oil price hikes.
Boy, sales of the Sedona sure fell precipitously !! Does anyone know how sales of comparable vehicles from other manufacturers fared during this month ?
I know majority of vans are having slower sales compared to previous years. Even Sedona’s sister model, Hyundai Entourage, only sold about 360 units last month.
I remember Sedona reaching high sales numbers a few years back. It’s sales reached up to 6000 units in it’s best months. But the numbers of units sold started to decrease when the next gen (current) Sedona was unveiled. Since then, it never reached so high numbers.
This could also happen because of stiff competition or high gas prices or even the Rondo minivan. It sure isn’t as big vehicle as Sedona, but still offers 7 seats. Plus it achives better fuel consumption than Sedona. Could it be the Rondo stealing the sales from Sedona?
The rondo is infact stealing from the minivan segment. It really has great room for 7 passangers and it gets alot better gas mileage and it handles more like a car than a van. A lot of people really like that. Not to mention that you can get it w/ third row for US$ 19500, $2500 less than a Sedona SWB. And it has a lot of versatilty
