Kia Sales In December 2014 + Full Year Sales Figures
Kia of USA ended the 2014 year on a high note posting its best-ever December sales of 45,587 vehicles (up 35.6 percent over the same period in 2013)!
The automaker has also set the highest annual sales total in its short 20 year history with 580,234 vehicles sold (up 8.4 percent year-over-year).
Leading December 2014 sales were the Optima midsize sedan and Soul crossover vehicle with 11,728 and 9,906 units sold, respectively.
The Optima established a new single nameplate record of 159,020 units, while the iconic Soul saw its sales increase for the fifth straight year!
The latter (Soul) finished the year with sales of 145,316 units!
In the US for 2014, the Soul was the 15th top–selling car, outselling such nameplates as the Chevy Impala, Chrysler 200 and Nissan Versa.
Other Kia Best Sellers
Also performing well last month was the just-recently introduced 2016 Sorento crossover, which recorded the sales of 9,688 units.
The Forte and Sportage SUV fared well to, while Kia’s latest product, the 2015 Sedona MPV, nearly eclipsed 3,000 sales in December.
Soul EV sales: Kia has reveald they have sold 110 units of the Soul EV in the USA and 16 in Canada.
Total Soul electric vehicle sales from October to December: US – 315 units; Canada – 36 units

Nice to see the Cadenza selling MUCH better. The reason why I think the K900 sales are low is because consumers who can afford the K900 doesn’t want it. And it is out of Kia’s current fanbase’s price range. I like the K900 but there are other Kia models, I can buy for much less and has a better looking exterior such as 2016 Sorento, 2015 Sedona, 2015 Optima. If I were to pay more than 50K for a Kia, I want style like the Kia GT. People will look at my Kia when driving down the streets. I don’t like a car to be ignored on the streets. The K900 can’t really turn heads because it’s nothing but a BMW inspired design looking like an adverage German sedan
