Kia Sales Figures Worldwide – Sportage’s November’s Top-Seller

Kia Motors Corporation has announced their global sales figures for the month of November 2013.

The figures come from export sales, domestic sales, and overseas plants sales of passenger cars, commercial and recreational vehicles (RV’s).

The total number came in at 238,167 units, representing a 1.8% sales increase over the same period in 2012.

Sales By Market

Kia moved 50,921 units in North America, with that number representing a year over year sales increase of 8.9%.

It was an increase in Europe, too, with 49,179 units sold for a 6.1% increase.

General markets delivered 43,241 units for a 4.8% increase, with China seeing a 1% increase in sales at 55,874 units.

Cumulative Kia sales for the year to date came in at 2,537,466 units and a 1.6% gain over the same period last year.

China and Europe are the leaders to date with 14.7% (526,525 units) and 3.3% (546,298 units) sales increases, respectively.

Best Selling Kia Models Worldwide

The best-selling Kia car in overseas markets during November was the Sportage compact CUV with 38,355 units sold.

Hot on its heels was the B-Segment Rio (sold as Kia K2 in China) with totals sales of 38,056.

Rounding out the group of top 5 best-selling Kias were the C-segment Forte (known also as Cerato in certain markets), D-segment Optima sedan, and the Sorento midsize CUV with 32,399, 18,869 and 16,597 units sold, respectively.
