Kia Sales Figures For The Month Of July 2015
Kia Motors America reports best ever July sales!
Kia sales momentum in the U.S. market continued with a record 56,311 vehicles sold in July 2015 (up nearly 8 percent from the same month a year earlier)!
SUV models of all sizes continued to push the industry, and while the 2016 Sorento and 2016 Sportage were part of that trend, the big news for us Kia fans is a major change among the brand’s top sellers!
Kia Optima, the long time sales leader for the brand, has “fallen” behind the Soul crossover in July 2015 sales.
With 12,638 units sold, the Optima performed really well and while it hasn’t recorded any major drop in sales, it was still beaten by the funky Soul.
As you can see, the Soul has recorded one of the best monthly performances ever with sales totaling 13,975 units.
And that’s the reason why Soul replaced the Optima as the top-selling vehicle in the USA during the month of July!
Another big reason to celebrate is a great performance of the Forte compact car family which sales have surpassed the 7,000 unit mark for the second straight month.
It seems like Forte car family is finally starting to make major gains in the United States and with the enhanced 2016 Forte just around the corner, you can anticipate further growth in the months ahead!
Also worth mentioning is the fact that Kia K900 luxury sedan recorded higher sales last month than the Cadenza premium sedan.
It’s great to see the K900 performing well, but we are wondering what the reasons for a recent spike in sales might be?
More intensive advertising, larger number of K900s shipped to the dealers or some cool deals and incentives?
Update: Kia Soul EV sales figures…

The Rondo reportedly sells very well in Canada. It would also sell quite well in the U.S. I’ve seen it, and would definitely purchase one. It totally hits the mark for me both in styling and utility.
Please Kia, bring it back to the U.S.!!
Kia canada is 9,6% down for the same time of year (july 2014 vs july2015)
And to date Kia canada 2015 market share drop from 4 % to 3,7% for the same time of year vs last year 2014
No good news for Kia Canada, but at least the Soul is selling well there.

Error on the “30 best selling cars” I meant 20.
It’s nice ta see the Kia Soul pop out in front of the Kia Optima in July 2015 U.S. sales. Sweet – my ’11 clear white base Kia Soul in 5-speed stick is the best car I’ve ever owned. I’d trade up for a new one but mine only has 55,289 miles on it. I bought it with 35,685 miles on it a bit over a year ago in El Paso, TX.
