U.S. Best-Selling Mid-Size Sedans In November – Camry 1st, Optima 7th

A quick look at the mid-size sedan sales chart in November 2013 reveals the following facts:

Toyota didn’t really raise any eyebrows by once again landing on top of the midsize sedan sales leader board.

The Camry has been consistently leading the way for quite some time and did so again this past month with sales of 30,386 units. The Honda Accord took second spot with 27,093 units sold.

Coming in behind the top two was the Nissan Altima, with 24,604 units sold.

The Ford Fusion snagged fourth with 22,839 unit, representing a sizeable jump over the 15,125 units it sold during the same period last year.

The Hyundai Sonata, which will receive a complete makeover next year, continued its assault on the mid-size sedan market by taking fifth spot, selling 16,595 units.

Sister company Kia landed in seventh spot, with the Optima selling 10,871 units.

Nestled between the Koreans was the Chevrolet Malibu, which sold 14,405 units during the month.

The Volkswagen Passat couldn’t quite get into the 5-digit realm, but it was still able to move 8,876 units, ahead of the Chrysler 200, which had 5,621 units sold.

The Dodge Avenger came in with 4,487 units, a good deal less than the 7,132 units it sold during the same month last year.

The news was better for the Mazda6, as it was able to double it’s November sales output from the previous year by posting 3,641 units sold. At the bottom of the heap was the Subaru Legacy, with just 2,911 units sold.
